Practice Areas
Three Areas of Practice. Each Conducted with the Same Degree of Care.
Conveyancing and property matters, will drafting and probate applications, and initial consultations. Each described in full below.
← Back to HomeHow the Firm Conducts Its Engagements
Every matter begins with a written engagement letter that sets out the scope of work, the professional fee, and the estimated disbursements. Work does not commence before the client has agreed to these terms in writing. The partner assigned to the matter is responsible for it from instruction to conclusion.
Progress is communicated in writing at each material stage. The client does not need to request updates. At the conclusion of each engagement, the client receives a final written account of all steps taken and all amounts charged.

Practice Area 03
Initial Consultation
A first conference, typically ninety minutes, held at the firm's premises with a partner who has read the materials provided in advance. The consultation is intended to clarify the question the client is bringing, to identify the practical sequence of work that would address it, and to scope and quote any subsequent engagement. A written note follows the conference. Suited to clients in the early stages of considering legal action or advice.
What the Engagement Includes
- Approximately ninety minutes with the attending partner
- Partner reads client's documents before the conference
- Analysis of the question and the options available
- Written note of the conference provided after the meeting
- Fee credited in full against any subsequent engagement within 90 days
Typical Process Sequence
- 1Client contacts the firm and describes the matter briefly; appointment arranged
- 2Client sends documents in advance; partner reviews before the conference
- 3Conference conducted — analysis, options, and practical sequence discussed
- 4Written note sent to client; fee quoted for any subsequent engagement
